Firework nights sell in volume and admit in a rush, which makes a cheap tamper-evident band the right tool: fast to fit at a gate, impossible to pass back over a fence.

Admitting a crowd in the dark

A display takes most of its audience through the gate in about forty minutes, in the cold and with poor light. The band has to be fittable one-handed, and the wording has to be readable at arm's length. Print the date and venue in the largest text the band will carry, and use a second band colour for anyone crossing into a restricted area near the firing zone. On that night colour separation does more work than wording.

Stopping reuse year to year

Displays fall on the same date every year, which is exactly why an undated band gets kept and presented again. Printing the year removes the argument at the gate. Every band also carries a tamper-evident seal and a unique serial number, so one cannot be slipped off and refitted to someone else.

Ordering

From 50 bands in batches of 10, printed in the UK. Most displays order in the last fortnight of October, so allow for that when you book artwork. See the Tyvek band for the colour range and delivery for cut-off times.
